The Hi-Bridge Band "Mr. Lucky B/W Jolly Roger"

“Mr. Lucky” b/w “Jolly Roger” marks the debut single from The Hi-Bridge Band, a studio project produced by Cy Pierpont for Secret Stash Records.
Recorded at Pierpont’s home studio overlooking Saint Paul’s Highbridge, the band—a rotating cast of local friends—is unpolished in the right ways, loose enough to breathe but never careless. It’s a sound that doesn’t push too hard but doesn’t hold back either. Drawing from late ’60s and early ’70s R&B, “Mr. Lucky” settles into a laid-back groove, while “Jolly Roger” leans more upbeat, driven by a relentless rhythm section, ripping B3, and a tight horn section.
