Ramon Argueso played a vital role in the Latin dance craze of the 1950s. In 1954, he recorded a 10” for powerhouse label MGM Records, before beginning a long-running collaboration with New York composer and conductor Jose Morand.

Through the late ’50s and early ’60s, Argueso and His Orchestra released five albums and a string of singles on Morand’s Fiesta Records, helping to define a sound that remains highly prized by collectors today—perfectly captured in “Learning The Cha-Cha.”
